Background:

I live at East Cape (Te Pakihi) with my wife Julie. We returned home in 2005 to farm Rangiata Station, our whanau land at East Cape.

I have a background in historical research and policy advice in addition to 17 years sheep and cattle farming experience.

My interests include the heritage and histories of Ngati Porou whanau, hapu, and iwi.

Aspirations for Ngati Porou:

An equitable settlement of Ngati Porou treaty claims will help redress wrongs and provide development opportunities for our people, their lands and resources.

The prime motivation for my participation in the treaty settlement process with Te Haeata is to contribute to the advancement of Ngati Porou whanau, hapu and iwi.
